Walk The Labyrinth

14th to 20th August  2017

One long standing Christian way of slowing down is to walk a Labyrinth; not a maze with dead ends, but a winding path that leads to the centre and then back out again. To walk a labyrinth is to do a short spiritual pilgrimage, to contemplate one's life journey and to discover that every step of the way God is walking with us. We hope to discover our own true centre and sense of purpose.

We have a labyrinth in the church this week. Do come and take a look.

These are the times the church is open.

Tuesday 15th August - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday 16th August - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday 17th August - 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Friday 18th August -10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"The Lord is my pacesetter..... I shall not rush

He makes me stop for quiet intervals.

He provides me with images of stillness which restore my serenity

He leads me in the way of efficiency trough calmness of mind and his guidance is peace.

Even though I have a great many things to accomplish each day, I will not fret, for his presence is here....

Truly harmony and effectiveness shall be the fruits of my hours, for I shall walk at the Pace of my Lord and dwell in his house for ever."

(a version of Psalm 23)
